Tri Phi Mu is made up of women of all ages. Many of our members have recently graduated and have moved to the area. Some of our members are new or soon-to-be mothers looking for someone to share their experience. No one is too young or too old to find a common interest in Tri Phi Mu!

Q.  Do I have the time to commit to Tri Phi Mu?

A. Our members are mothers, students, and hard working professionals and we know your time is precious. You can give as much or as little time that you have or want to the Tri Phi Mu alumnae chapter. As we shift through different chapters in our lives we have different amounts of time available and Phi Mu will always be here for you. We welcome members who want to keep informed, attended events, or help plan them!

Q: What if I'm new and I don't know anyone?

A: Then Tri Phi Mu is perfect for you! Come make some new friends. We're a casual group of women of all ages and life stages. We are excited to get to know you. We are North Carolinians and transplants. We didn't all go to college together and we welcome new people. Come to an event and say hi!

Q: What leadership positions are available?

A: Check out the Contact Us page to learn more about open positions. Even if none are open or you don't feel like take on that much of a role, we welcome volunteers to serve as a host for events. Perhaps you can share your house or serve as the organizer for a restaurant event?

Q: What does Tri Phi Mu do?

A: We enjoy meeting new Sisters and friends and rekindling old friendships. This happens through our social events like dinner or drinks out, games night at a member's house, or while crafting. We also uphold our values of Love, Honor, and Truth by participating in philanthropy events. Examples include charity walks and supporting our local CMN Hospital. We also welcome graduating seniors into the third dimension of membership!

What some of the

Tri Phi Mu Women think about the chapter!

After graduating from Florida International University, going for my Masters and then relocating to Northern Virginia for a chance at a competitive career opportunity, I shortly after found myself in North Carolina starting over again in a new place. Soon after, I realized that my work from home dream job was awesome, except I didn't have a chance to network and make new friendships. Tri Phi Mu was that extra sisterhood and healthy escape that allowed me to meet new people and interact with supportive sisters, despite being from entirely different chapters. Even during the pandemic, our virtual meet ups were filled with excitement and engagement that I will forever be grateful for!

I enjoy Tri Phi Mu because it gives me the feeling of sisterhood I enjoyed so much when I was in college. There is a camaraderie that comes from being part of something that is truly special--something that has lasted for 150 years and that continues to thrive. I have enjoyed getting to know my Phi Mu sisters from other chapters and my Phi Mu sisters of a later time from my own chapter.  I find my Phi Mu sisters optiĀmistic, upbeat, and interesting, and I always leave our monthly get-togethers recharged and energized.

Joining Tri Phi Mu for me has been a great way to meet wonderful Phi Mu's from different parts of the country. I look forward to seeing some of the same women each month, as well as meeting new women that join the group. Phi Mu was such a huge part of my college life, and now that has continued with my involvement with Tri Phi Mu.

When I moved to the Raleigh area after graduation, Tri Phi Mu was a great way for me to find support and maintain my interest of being active in Phi Mu.  I enjoy meeting women from all over the area of all ages who share my interests and wanted to help me get involved. The women of the chapter have been  a great support and guidance to me being a new colĀlege graduate and new to the Triangle area. I look forward to our monthly informal get-togethers.
